Join us in connecting as community
Sunday, December 13th, 2020 10:30am - 12:45pm
Saturday, January 23rd, 2020 10:30am - 12:45pm
Maija Kellner-Rode and Becki Macy are offering monthly community gatherings bringing female identified/femme teens and adults together (ages 15+). We are currently meeting on Zoom, and will shift outdoors once the weather gets warmer.
We believe bringing people together across generations provides a diverse and rich landscape to learn from. Teens and adults each hold their own unique wisdom and creativity that deserves to be uplifted and shared. As facilitators, our intention is to provide a space where we listen and encourage personal and group agency along with growth through vulnerability. Together we will learn to navigate the range of emotional experience while caring for ourselves and each other.
We will be meeting in a small group (10 people max) using mindfulness, art, movement, group processing, ritual and nature-based practices as tools to explore current life themes and support social, mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. Using an anti-racist lens, our hope is to bring together teens and adults in a way that empowers, encourages and challenges each individual to re-member their power and intuitive abilities through deeper connection with themselves, each other, and the world around them.

With the intention of moving away from capitalism and towards a gift economy, we invite you to give any monetary amount that feels right for you in reciprocity for our offering. During this time, we believe that bringing people together is crucial and do not want money to hinder anyone’s access to participating.
more about us:
As two white, cis-gender identifying women, we hope to create space that is empowering and welcoming to all, and recognize we have blind spots because of our social privileges. We are here to learn and grow together as a community, and as facilitators take full responsibility for any harm we may cause. We are committed to continuing to learn how to create a nourishing space for all, centering the voices of those less typically centered by our current culture and society. We welcome any feedback on how we may better fit the needs of all participants.
